Bell Aliant chooses Corinex for its IP based service, Aliant TV PDF Print E-mail
Aliant TV installations easy and fast with Corinex AV devices

(Vancouver, B.C. – March 31, 2008) ¾ Corinex announces today that Bell Aliant selected its home networking technology to aid in the deployment of Aliant TV. Corinex’s AnyWireTM Connectivity product line solves the in-home wiring problem plaguing IPTV service providers by connecting the DSL modem to multiple set top boxes. It provides an easy set up that reduces the installation time of Aliant TV.

Aliant TV, launched in 2005, offers customers 240 channels of full digital content, all starting at $29 per month for the first 12 months. The service has been successfully deployed to Aliant TV customers with category-5 Ethernet cabling being installed for in-home connectivity. Now with Corinex’s AnyWireTM Connectivity products, adapters which utilize existing coaxial cabling (or electrical wiring) in the home are reducing the install times for in-home connectivity for Bell Aliant installers and customers.

“Bell Aliant chose Corinex’s unique AV networking technology because of the ease and speed of installation,” said Andre LeBlanc, Bell Aliant’s team lead of television services. “We surveyed the market and found Corinex’s AnyWireTM Connectivity products to be the most cost effective and bulletproof solution for solving the in-home distribution problem, and our installers love them.”

“Bell Aliant is a leader in delivering IPTV, and we are happy to be a part of delivering the Aliant TV service offering to homeowners across Atlantic Canada,” said Eric Barker, manager of the Bell Aliant account for Corinex.
Bell Aliant’s application of the Corinex’s AnyWireTM Connectivity solution uses the indoor coaxial cabling already installed in homes as a medium for video transmission. By simply connecting one Corinex AV Adapter to a DSL modem and connecting a second AV device to the Set Top Box using the existing coaxial cable, the in-home install is complete. Additional adapters and Set Top Boxes can be added as required.
