(NYSE: BB) has launched ConnectedLife.Home, a Digital Entertainment and Home Automation package powered by AnyWireTM video distribution technology from Corinex Communications Corp. ConnectedLife.Home allows families to easily stream data and video content, including HDTV and movies, to any room in the home, all with one remote control. No special cabling is required in the home to take advantage of ConnectedLife.Home since the Corinex HD video connectivity solution utilizes the existing coax or electrical wiring already installed in the home. “Our strategy was to put together a feature rich home entertainment and interactive automation bundle that is easy to deploy and affordable,” explains Chris Mauzy, Best Buy for Business’ Director of Business Development. “Corinex products allowed us to execute our strategy of addressing consumer needs with respect to communications between all of our video components as well as to Corinex BPL access technology for utilities” added Mauzy. The ConnectedLife.Home consists of cameras, lighting controls, media players and other equipment and software in addition to the Powerline and Coax networking solution from Corinex. There are 9 Corinex SKUs in the package, including the HD Video Connectivity Kit, AV200 Powerline Ethernet Wall Mount Adapters, AV200 CableLAN Adapters, a Powerline Noise Filter, a High Pass RF filter, and 3 types of PowerPhaseTM Couplers. “Corinex is excited about our partnership with Best Buy; ConnectedLife.Home is the first and only home entertainment and automation package that can positively impact families lives and their energy budget.” stated Corinex’s CEO, Peter Sobotka. “Utilities that integrate ConnectedLife.Home with Corinex BPL Access systems will be able to implement energy management into their grid, with their customers being able to view and control energy consumption and cost in real time.” Corinex products are also available for sale separately from Best Buy.
